*Have You Seen The “Star” And Receive Grace *

*Bible verses: 1 Corinthians 1-3-4 *“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;”

Reflections
Every one celebrates birthday yearly, some in a low key and some other celebrate in a very big way by inviting friends and family, with parties, decorations, food and drinks. Can you remember how long it takes you to prepare for that your round figure birthday.
Advent is the four weeks we prepare to celebrate the birthday of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Currently, Christmas decorations are all over high street, houses and offices. This year I observed people put out Christmas decorations earlier than usual, signifying the Hope, love, joy and peace that Christmas brings despite the current pandemic. Couple of days ago, while passing by the high street, this particular decoration caught my attention. It was on top of a local library and had a “Big Gold Star”. As I was reflecting on it, I realised that “A STAR” has five points representing “Grace”, someone gave an acronym for grace as “ God’s- Riches- At- Christ’s- Expense. Also the gold colour reminded me of a song “Something more gold, something more than gold, the Spirit of the Lord in the heart of men is something more than gold”. Jesus Christ is that “Star” and the Holy Spirit is more than Gold. Can I encourage you reading this devotional today really think about This Jesus Christ that came to the earth despite knowing that he was born to sacrifice his life for our sins, and not to allow his sacrifice be in vain. If you are yet to be born again or you backslided remember *His “Grace” – God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. *

*Prayers *
Father God , let your grace be abundant in my life and family this Advent season and always. Lord, as I receive this expensive God’s Riches At Christ Expense, let me remain in Christ Jesus forever in your holy name I pray. Amen.
