*What Language Do You Speak? Part 1*
*Bible verses: *“Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the *Lord;”Ephesians 5:19 KJV*
There are several languages all over the world. According to Google, about 6,500 languages are spoken in the world today. These languages are used to connects, interacts, and socialise making the world a diverse and beautiful place. Sadly, some of these languages are less widely spoken than others. English is the most common language with about 1, 132 millions speakers. Babies learn and pick up their parents languages as they grow up and will be proficient in speaking from about two years.
Let’s think about the language of the Believers in Christ Jesus. You become a Baby in Christ when you become Born Again. Just like Physical Babies learn and naturally pick up their parents’ languages, Born Again children of God should also learn and pick up Our Heavenly Fathers language and be proficient in it. This will help you connect and interact with God. However you can only learn God’s language by spending time with Him in worship, praise, prayer, reading and studying God’s Word, The Holy Bible. *1 Peter 2:2* “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:” Can I encourage you reading this devotional today to be intentional in learning your Heavenly Father’s language by spending time in worshiping, praying, reading, meditating, and making the Holy Bible your companion. God wants to connect and interact with you but can only do so when you read, study, meditate, and spend time in His presence.
Father God, I repent of not spending quality time in your presence, please forgive me in Jesus Christ name.
From today I ask and receive the grace to be intentional in learning and speaking your language so I can connect with you in Jesus Christ name. Amen
